Individualised Assessment and Care for Children with ADHD

Children diagnosed with ADHD may experience challenges in a variety of settings, including home, school and everyday activities. Every child's experience is different.

At Brainshape, we begin with a detailed assessment to understand your child's health history, current concerns and individual presentation. Where appropriate, we discuss care options that may be suitable for your child and explain the reasons for our recommendations.

Our approach is family-centred, with care plans tailored to the individual rather than following a standard program.

Understanding ADHD

Children diagnosed with ADHD may experience differences in attention, activity levels and impulse control. Some children may also experience challenges with organisation, emotional regulation, learning, coordination or sensory processing.

These experiences vary between individuals, and not every child will experience the same combination or level of difficulty. An individual assessment helps practitioners understand each child's presentation and discuss appropriate recommendations based on their specific needs.
