QEEG Brainwave Mapping

QEEG (Quantitative EEG) is a non-invasive assessment that measures how the brain is functioning, not just how it looks. By recording real-time brainwave activity, it helps identify patterns of overactivity, underperformance, or poor coordination between brain networks that can affect attention, learning, emotional regulation, sleep, and stress response.

Rather than relying on observation alone, QEEG provides objective data that helps us understand why a child may be struggling and where support is most needed. At Brainshape, QEEG is used as part of a whole-child approach, considering the brain, nervous system, sensory processing, and body together to guide precise, gentle, and effective care.

Does my child have a brain imbalance?

QEEG may help us understand patterns related to:

  • Attention and focus

  • Emotional regulation and stress response

  • Learning efficiency and processing speed

  • Sleep quality and nervous system “arousal” patterns

  • Network balance (including left–right integration patterns)

During the appointment, children sit comfortably while brain activity is recorded in a calm, quiet setting designed to feel safe and relaxed. The information gathered is carefully analysed to reveal meaningful patterns, allowing progress to be monitored over time and supporting focused, efficient care planning. From there, findings are integrated into personalised recommendations that may include brain-based therapy, sensory-motor rehabilitation, and supportive foundations such as sleep, movement, and nutrition to guide steady, lasting improvement.
